Space Coast Invitational Results
The Space Coast Invitational was held last weekend at Kelly Park in Merritt Island. Six Lasers sailed on an epic day for wind. The SE’ly flow made for a nice long fetch leading to great waves for downwind surfing. Winds started in the upper teens and quickly built to 20 with gusts in the mid 20’s. Aeros and Lasers started together and all raced a windward leeward course. The event also included a Flying Scot fleet which made for interesting action on the course when Lasers/Aeros were sailing upwind and meeting a stray FS or two.
