SSS Labor Day Regatta Results

The Sarasota Sailing Squadron (SSS) hosted their 74th Annual Labor Day Regatta September 3-4th. There were over 170 competitors, with the bulk made up of Opti’s. While this is traditionally a youth event, this year the adults made up a large share of the Laser full rigs and gave the youth a run for their money. Both days were light with a morning land breeze followed by some downtime fun (see pictures) waiting for the sea breeze. It did not disappoint, and both days had good sailing after the sea breeze filled in. It was a great event to start the fall sailing season!
