Laser Masters Nationals

Hi everyone,

I wanted to pass along this message from Al Sargent:

As ILCA District 24 secretary, I invite you to the Laser Masters US Nationals, October 13-15, at Alameda Community Sailing Center in the San Francisco Bay Area. There should be champagne conditions, and we have boats for charter if you need one. People are coming from around the US and even the UK. It should be a great regatta before our sailing season shuts down. Here’s where you can sign up:

For those not familiar, ACSC is a great venue — typically 6-12 knot winds, 1-2 foot chop, warmer air and water temps than the rest of SF Bay, and a race course that’s several minutes from the launch ramp. October is our “Indian Summer” when our winds are milder and temps are in the 70s. All this is why ACSC is one of the centers of Laser sailing in Northern California. Also, our regatta chairs have worked hard to keep costs to a relatively budget-friendly $175 (less than $60/day).

There’s also a clinic the day before hosted by local coach Julian Soto, which should be around $30 to $50. A good way to tune up:

Please let me know if you have any questions. Hope to see you out there!

Best regards,

Al Sargent
