IRYC Back on the Water Regatta
Event held June 27th, great time had by all!
What started as discussion one day between some Laser and Aero sailors on how best to to try and get out on the water, turned into a one day regatta hosted by the Indian River Yacht Club (IRYC) on June 27th. The ‘Back on the Water’ regatta hosted 9 Lasers and 4 Aeros all competing together. We social distanced in the parking lot, the skippers meeting was held outside with everyone keeping distance, and there were no awards afterward. Just bragging rights. IRYC did a great job with the whole event and it was so good to race again. Hal Gilreath took home those bragging rights after 5 races in light air. Both Masters and college sailors attended which made for a great event!
